Moving from France to Canada was both exciting and challenging. I knew it would be a big change, but I didn’t realize how much it would help me grow and shape who I am today. One of the biggest thing to manage was how intense the paperwork could be. There were countless administrative details to handle, but being ultra organized made all the difference. I think it could also reduce the stress that often comes with relocation. What I wish I knew before moving is how valuable early preparation can be, especially for finding a job. Before leaving France, I had already started building my professional network. Many Canadian companies came to Paris for recruitment events, so I used those opportunities to connect and learn about the job market. That preparation paid off: when I finally arrived in Canada, I signed a job contract within just two weeks. I came as a newcomer, and now I’m proud to call myself Canadian!
